Participants and Beneficiaries

  • Virtual Summit: The Summit will include officials from both governments, as well as experts from the private sector who are active in advanced manufacturing across a variety of sectors. They will speak to the Canada-India innovation and technology relationship more broadly, as well as highlight specific projects and sectors with high potential for future innovation collaboration. This will attract an audience of Indian companies, academic or other R&D institutions that are potential Indian R&D collaboration partners for Canadian companies. These potential partners will be exposed to the Canadian companies participating in the virtual mission and will learn about the opportunities for innovation collaboration with Canada.
  • B2Bs: The impetus for organizing the virtual conference is the virtual technology mission to India that is being planned. The mission is made up of approximately a dozen Canadian companies with innovative technologies applicable to advanced manufacturing, across a variety of sectors, and for these companies a number of virtual B2Bs will be arranged for them in advance and will take place mostly during and after the Summit. It is also expected that Canadian companies will be able to arrange B2B meetings with many of these potential Indian partners, which are potential partners that, without the attraction of the Summit, might not otherwise have learned about and considered Canadian companies for innovation collaboration.
