YOGA MAHOTSAV-2022: Webinar on Yoga for Humanity: Mental Wellbeing scheduled on 17 June 2022 at 1100 – 1300 hrs.

Yoga is recognized as a form of mind-body medicine that integrates an individual's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual components to improve aspects of health, particularly stress related illnesses.  We are living in uncertain times; social, environmental, and financial instability is rocking most of our worlds right now, majorly due to the consequences of the ongoing Covid crisis. Amid such global scenarios of doom and gloom, practicing Yoga can be our ‘secret key’ for achieving holistic well-being, as it can assist us in bringing our minds, souls, and bodies back to a state of natural calm, rest, and balance.

It is an exercise that involves different body poses, breathing techniques and meditation, the regular practice of Yoga helps in relieving stress, lowering anxiety levels, decreasing depression, improving sleep quality, and enhancing quality of life. Our mental health and overall sense of wellbeing with a focus on deep breathing and gentle stretching through the practice of Yoga is very helpful.
