ABOUT EVENT

CII, under the aegis of its National Committee on MNCs, has been working to provide a dedicated platform to foreign companies operating in India to highlight their contributions and suggest the way forward for enhancing the same through the required improvement in policy and regulatory environment. It also highlights the reforms undertaken by the government to make the business environment more conducive for MNCs in India.

Among the various endeavours in this direction, the forum last year initiated a series of annual National Conference on MNCs. Attended by over 300 stakeholders, the Conference had the honour of having Ms Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of Finance, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. Several seniors policy makers, including Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog; Dr Guruprasad Mohapatra, then Secretary, DPIIT; Dr Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Chief Economic Advisor, Ministry of Finance; Shri Vivek Johri, Member, CBIC, Ministry of Finance; Shri K Rajaraman, then Additional Secretary, DEA, Ministry of Finance, Dr Rajendra Kumar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, addressed and interacted with the participants.

The Second edition of the Conference is being organised on 16th November, 2021 from 1000 hrs to 1730 hrs over the virtual platform.  Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles, has kindly agreed to be the Chief Guest at the Conference. 

The day-long Conference would witness participation of more than 400 top executives from MNCs, Banking & Financial Institutions, Diplomatic missions, National & International Business Associations in India, Think Tanks, Media, amongst others. Senior government officials from relevant Ministries / Departments such as DPIIT,  Department of Economic Affairs, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance; NITI Aayog, among others, would be invited to address and interact with the participants.
