Water is a critical resource for Pulp & Paper Industry. Efficient management of water defines the Industry's performance and its commitment towards overall sustainability.

One of the opportunities available for the industry is to improve overall performance by identifying and / or adopting “Best Practices” prevalent and opt for emerging “Technologies”. This will help the Industry promote judicious use of fresh water as well as reduce, recycle and reuse wastewater through implementation of viable strategies.

Against this backdrop, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing the 6th National Conference on “Pulp & Paper: Evolving Landscape on Water & Wastewater Management” on 6th July 2021, over virtual platform.

Focus Areas:

• Standards, Reforms, and Policies : This session will focus on policies, standards and reforms which aligns with climate change & water stewardship. The deliberations will also bring to the fore, viable measures that can promote infrastructure for efficient recycling & product recovery, accommodate variance in water availability and adopt source protection measures.

• Next Practices & Technologies for Improved water and wastewater management : Viable adoption of technology in businesses will be critical in improving and defining water use efficiency for the sector. This session will highlight some of the prevalent next practices, emerging disruptive technology(s) and management tools for monitoring and improving water use efficiency and promoting circular economy.
