India has become the 3rd largest Unicorn ecosystem in the world. The Q2’21 saw a surge in companies globally achieving unicorn status, bringing the total number of unicorns in 2021 well above the previous annual high. Today,1 out of every 10 unicorns globally have been born in India. Overall, 2021 experienced an exponential boom when it comes to start-ups entering the unicorn club as the year saw an unparalleled growth in the Indian tech start-up ecosystem, specifically in unicorns, funding, merger & acquisitions, and investors.
A study says that India may add over 50 fresh unicorns in 2022.
In view, to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurs and guide them to become the next unicorn, CII Future Business Group jointly with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is organizing the 1st edition of “Global Unicorn Summit 2022 – Shaping 1000 Unicorns by 2030” on 28-29 April 2022 over a virtual platform.
The summit will have focused agenda towards engaging the young, new, domestic, and international leaders of existing and fresh businesses to work towards the enhancement of its new dimensions with the specific role of technology being an enabler, building an entrepreneurial ecosystem, and investors' viewpoint and sustainable business.
