ABOUT EVENT

CII has embarked on a collaborative initiative on gender diversity – “Women in Manufacturing” that aims at increasing female representation in workforce and bridging the gender gap in the manufacturing industry. With only 3% to 12% women in workforce representing various manufacturing industries, women represent one of the largest pools of untapped talent in the sector and closing manufacturing’s gender gap is key to economy’s ability to evolve and expand. The initiative works towards creating a roadmap to prioritize a list of focus areas towards attaining the larger goal of increasing employment opportunities, productivity and competitiveness of the industrial sectors through gender diversity.
