Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in cooperation with Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Secretariat and the Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce and Industry, is organizing the 5th India - Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Industrial Conference on 22 – 23 November 2021.
The two-day event will be organised by CII in collaboration with its counterpart organisations in the GCC countries (including the Federation of GCC Chambers) and with the support from the Government of India and the Governments of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman Saudi Arabia & the United Arab Emirates.
This conference was first conceptualised and organised by CII, under the auspices of Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The 1st edition was held in Mumbai (India) in 2004, 2nd in Muscat (Oman) in 2006, 3rd in Mumbai (India) in 2007 and the 4th one in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), in 2015. Across the editions, the conference had strong participation from GCC States including Ministerial & Business Delegations and was very well received by the Indian Business Community, who have actively built bridges to strengthen the partnership between our two regions.
The 5th edition of the Conference will seek to promote and galvanise India - GCC trade and investment linkages. Special emphasis will be laid on cooperation in sectors such Infrastructure, Smart Manufacturing, Healthcare, Innovation and Digital transformation, Start-Ups & Entrepreneurship, Women Empowerment, Energy, Tourism, Food trade & Food Security, among others.
