CII - Future Fuels Summit 2021
Re-Fueling India through Affordable and Sustainable Energy
21 - 22 February 2022:: CII HIVE platform
As the Indian GDP is expected to be USD 8.6 trillion by 2040, the primary energy demand is expected to double. India continues to focus on decreasing its carbon footprint, energy demand in India has continued to rise owing to a growing economy and an ambitious young population with higher needs for transportation and lifestyle. India’s transportation sector continues to depend largely on fossil fuel.
To reduce energy imports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given India the Vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, a self-reliant India, to provide access to affordable and quality energy for all consumers – domestic, commercial & industrial as well as the agricultural consumer. To realise this goal, India must find a way to enhance domestic production and sourcing, enhance carbon capture, and invest in better technological intervention like hydrogen, biofuels, gas etc.
To set the agenda for 2022 and beyond, and to lend a strong voice to India’s decarbonisation commitment, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing Future Fuels Summit with the theme “Re-Fueling India through Affordable and Sustainable Energy” scheduled between 21-22 February 2022 over CII HIVE Platform.
