IPCON-2021
Building Strong IP Ecosystem for Ease of Doing Business
10 December 2021; 1000-1345 Hrs: CII-Hive Platform
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) has setup Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (CII-MoMSME IPFC) in Ahmedabad, Indore and Mysore to provide handholding support to India Industries to protect and monetize their intangible assets.
Technology is moving fast and so are the trade practices leading to heavy demands on all related aspects of growth, development, compliance and dispute resolution. In order to promote IP-driven industry in the country, several measures need to be taken such as preferential clearance and acceptance of proposals of investment having strong IP content, setting up of units at state level for handling Ease of Doing Business (EDB) and IPR and developing skills in licensing and technology transfers. Having a strong protection system for confidential information and trade secrets is highly desirable both for domestic and foreign companies to invest in India. It is essential to evolve good practices for EDB especially in the context of IP driven industry through new learnings and sharing ideas and experiences and also map future needs and requirements.
CII-MoMSME IPFC as its ongoing initiative for capacity building of Industry & Institutions in IPR has been organizing Workshops, Seminars, and Training Programs on IPR. Now with this context, CII-MoMSME IPFC has planned to organize the 4th edition of IPCON with a theme “Building Strong IP Ecosystem for Ease of Doing Business” on 10 December 2021.
