CII is organizing the Multimodal Transportation Summit 2021 with the theme ‘Propelling India’s logistics efficiency to newer heights’ on Thursday, 25 November 2021 over Virtual Mode. The summit will highlight the key actions that are required to create a vibrant and efficient integrated transportation system covering modes like roads, rail, sea, inland waterways and air.
Efficient end-to-end transportation of goods have been one of the major challenges in India, primarily due to the disconnect between different modes of transportation and storage facilities.
The summit would provide a platform to bring forth stakeholders' views on the policy framework, issues/challenges and put forward suitable measures for propelling logistics efficiency for building a globally competitive India and highlight the key infrastructure challenges that inhibit the growth of transportation and logistics sector and will also deliberate upon potential solutions which are required for the development of multi-modal transportation across the country.
The event will have a special Session on “PM Gati Shakti Master Plan” recently launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to provide real-time access to information and data on infrastructure projects across 16 Ministries to promote integrated planning, holistic development and timely execution of projects. This is aimed at facilitating seamless movement of goods and people and enhance ease of doing business.
A large number of delegates from industry, senior officials of central & state governments, technology providers, investors, policy makers, thought leaders, financial institutions, etc. are expected to attend the subject Summit. The event will also highlight the key initiatives taken by the government of India to accelerate multimodal transportation in the country and the opportunities where the industry could collaborate.
