CII PSE Council has been working with the Public Sector Enterprises to address their concerns towards growth and economic development. In an attempt to revive the COVID-hit economy, the Government has set a mission to implement "AtmaNirbhar Bharat" and become “Vocal for Local” to “Make in India and Make for the World”. To catapult the economy to a high growth trajectory and help the economy escape the downturn, the Government is planning to soon announce the PSEs Policy for a New, Self-reliant India.
The PSEs have always been consistent performers since independence and contributed significantly towards making a self-reliant India and will continue to play an ever-important role in defined areas. Acknowledging the steps being taken towards a self-reliant India, CII PSE Council this year is hosting the annual flagship event PSE Summit on the lines and visions of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
CII is organizing the PSE Summit: Furthering Atmanirbhar Bharat on Friday, 27 November 2020.
The sessions will have focussed deliberations around PSEs’ significant contribution towards Atmanirbharta, indigenisation and manufacture of items currently being imported by the PSEs in various sectors, working with global companies for manufacturing both for domestic and export purposes, creating new partnerships, and devising some powerful action for transforming the various PSEs into world class companies with greater commercialization under the new and soon-to-come PSE Policy.
