The Indian food industry is poised for huge growth, increasing its contribution to world food trade every year. The Indian food and grocery market are the world's sixth largest. The Indian gourmet food market is valued at US$ 1.3 billion.

However, the pandemic has brought in many challenges for the F&B sector. Post pandemic, to adapt to the new normal, innovative interventions and products have to be developed at various levels to further mitigate revenue depletions and ensure sustenance during these unprecedented times. The focus now should be on contactless F&B services, demand generation, promoting innovative ways to spur demand and building consumer confidence.
